The Royal Amateur Expedition Society (RAES) is a group of amateur hikers from The Royal College of Art. On February 10th, thirty artists and designers from the RAES descended on Kurt Schwitters Merz Barn in the Lake District for a weekend of workshops and walking in the wind, rain and snow. Each workshop framed the environment in a new way; we investigated our surroundings with fresh eyes many times. This exhibition showcases work made during the RAES residency weekend, and presents the unique opportunity to experience some of the workshops designed for the Lake District here in London.
